18th Century Swedish Antique Tub Sofa (Signed)

This exceptional tub sofa is attributed to Anders Andersson, aka Anders Andersson Skar (active c. mid-late 18th century), a noted Swedish cabinetmaker from Lindome recognized for finely carved neoclassical pieces made for provincial and Stockholm patrons. The sofa exhibits hallmark Gustavian restraint: a softly curved back, tapered legs with simple fluting, and refined carved details at the crest and apron consistent with late-18th-century Swedish taste.

Re-upholstered in Belgian Linen on the back, and the seat, seatback and arms in off white boucle with with exposed tack head trim.
